Welcome to the registered users information page

What is a registered user?

A registered user is an individual who has created an account on ICLR’s website, proving their identity with login credentials. This process unlocks access to features not available to the public.

Who should become a registered user?

A registered user can be anyone with an interest in case law, who wants to support the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting in their mission to give access to and information about case law, the precedent it sets and the importance of being up to date and informed about the latest law.

What does a registered user get?

As a registered user, per month, you will be able to access three full law reports, three case info pages (all the links and info about a case you might need) and three uses of Case Genie – a combined tool to recommend cases and to extract and verify case references against our database of thousands of cases. You will select the law reports and case info pages that you unlock yourself.

What does ICLR ask in return?

We ask that as part of becoming a registered user, you let us send you sporadic updates via email about what we are doing and what content is available to you – you can unsubscribe at any time!

Anything else I should know?

ICLR Online is an amazing free resource holding a wealth of information about the English and Welsh Court system, how case law works, legislation and a glossary of hundreds of useful legal terms. You can use ICLR Online to search for cases without being a subscriber. ICLR holds everything published by the National Archives, thousands of European cases published by Curia, and hundreds of cases from the High Court Tribunals, not to mention hundreds of extempore judgments transcribed solely for us.
