We are registered under company number 00005034 and have our registered address at Megarry House, 119 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1PP.

When does ICLR collect personal data about me?

We will never collect your personal data without first obtaining your consent to do so. You can use this website as an unregistered user without actively or passively providing us with any personal data. We will only collect your personal data if:

  1. You submit a request to take a trial to one of our services
  2. You sign up to receive marketing updates
  3. You sign up to receive updates of articles published on ICLR’s blog
  4. You take a paid subscription to any of our services.

What personal data does ICLR collect about me?

Content updates and marketing

If you sign up to receive marketing updates or updates of articles published on ICLR’s blog, we only ask you to provide the following personal data:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address

We will store this data for so long as you do not unsubscribe from the update list you elected to subscribe to.

Trials to our products and services

If you sign up for a trial, we will ask for a bit more information about you to enable us (a) verify that the trial request is genuine; (b) to set up the trial access on our systems; and (c) to be able to make contact with you during and immediately after your trial. You will be asked to provide us with the following data if you sign up for a trial:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • A contact telephone number
  • Your place of work
  • Your address
  • The area of law you are most interest in
  • Whether you wish to receive marketing updates

We will store this data for no more than seven years from the date you submit your trial request.

Subscriptions to our products and services

If you take a paid subscription to our product and services, we will ask you to agree to our standard Terms and Conditions, which set out the types of data we will collect from you.

Is ICLR fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation?

Yes, we are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation.

Does ICLR keep my personal data secure?

Yes, we do. All data collected by ICLR is stored on regularly-updated servers that are equipped with state-of-the-art security and attack countermeasure systems.

Where is my personal data stored?

Our products and services are backed by a range of systems, based in several locations.

  • The servers powering this website are situated in Dublin, Ireland
  • Customer data is stored on servers situated in France and Germany
  • Our internal business servers servers are situated in the United Kingdom
  • We use two email delivery systems (MailChimp and Campaign Monitor) and the servers for those services are situated in the United States of America

Can I request access to the personal data ICLR holds about me?

Yes, you can. To make a request to access the personal data we hold about you, email privacy@iclr.co.uk. We will respond to requests for access within 28 days of the date the request was sent to us.

Please note, we may ask you to provide proof of your identity before releasing the data to you.

Can I ask for corrections to be made to the personal data ICLR holds about me?

Yes. In fact, we encourage you to tell us if you believe the data we hold about you is incomplete or inaccurate. To make a request have the data we hold about you corrected, email privacy@iclr.co.uk. We will respond to requests for access within 28 days of the date the request was sent to us.

Please note, we may ask you to provide proof of your identity before applying changes to the data we hold about you.

Can I ask ICLR to delete personal data held about me?

Yes. So long as you are not a current subscriber to any of our products and services, you can request that ICLR delete your personal data from our systems. To make a request for data erasure, please email privacy@iclr.co.uk. We will respond to requests for erasure within 28 days of the date the request was sent to us.

Please note, we may ask you to provide proof of your identity before applying changes to the data we hold about you.

If you are a current subscriber to any of our products and services, we will be unable to delete all of your personal data because we require your personal data to enable us to supply you with the subscribed products and services.

Can I withdraw my consent to ICLR storing and processing my personal data?

Yes. So long as you are not a current subscriber to any of our products and services, you can withdraw your consent to ICLR storing and processing your personal data.

If you wish to withdraw your consent from receiving email updates, the easiest way to withdraw your consent is to click on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. If you prefer, you can email us at privacy@iclr.co.uk and we will erase your data from our mailing lists.

If you are a current subscriber to any of our products and services, we will be unable to cease the processing of your personal data because we require your personal data to enable us to supply you with the subscribed products and services.

Are ICLR’s contract terms with third parties compliant with GDPR?

Yes, they dare. All of ICLR’s contracts with third parties contain mandatory provisions relating to GDPR.
