ICLR attended the Canadian Association of Law Librarians Annual Conference 2025 in sunny Calgary from the 26thto the 28th of May
It was so great to see so many valued and long-standing customers and to be able to explain in person the work we do, our charitable objectives and listen and learn directly about the ongoing challenges facing law librarians here in Canada.
The conference, as always, had an exciting and broad range of speakers and topics, the lightning talk that directly compared and analysed the different AI summarisers available was a highlight, showing just how variable the interpretation of legal documents can be and that although the technology is impressive, like the nominate reports from centuries ago, interpretation, intention and fact are not always aligned.
We would like to thank the organisers for their hard work and to thank everyone who stopped by our booth (No 22).
